The Los Bosmos Shielding Station is on the outskirts of town. It blocks the radiation emitted by the two moons' eclipse on Two Moon Week. The two moon radiation destroys the sense of harmony of anyone who is exposed to it. It means that every Freewaver in town would lose the ability to play the pure 13th note when exposed to the radiation. Thus, the shield keeps the radiation at bay.
